Hello all, we are continuing the development of the Broadstreet Rugby Club website. You may have noticed some of the new features. We have a new facebook fans page which can be found with the easy to remember url. Its http://facebook.broadstreet-rugby.co.uk basically just change the www for facebook. We are also on Twitter so if you tweet rather than use Facebook you can follow Broadstreet RFC by going to the url http://facebook.broadstreet-rugby.co.uk. If Flickr is more of what you fancy we are also on there (photos still to be uploaded there so limited pictures at the moment) Flickr is still work in progress so the url is http://www.flickr.com/groups/broadstreet-rugby/ this will eventually become http://flickr.broadstreet-rugby.co.uk later on today.
If videos are more your thing then we have a YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/iandanescourt?feature=mhw5 again, later on today this will become http://youtube.broadstreet-rugby.co.uk.
Logging In To the Site
To register an account at Broadstreet RFC has now become far easier, we have reduced the fields presented to you when you register for an account. We have hidden all of those fields that people thought were too complicated to fill in (especially if you are one of those single finger typists) so registering for an account is easier.
If you don't want to register but have a facebook account then you can now login with your facebook details by clicking on the facebook sign-in option.
Why do we need all of these options ?
Broadstreet RFC are a rugby union club with a rich history and ambitions to greater things. We have in place a proactive approach to rugby development with the best mini and junior rugby union section in the Midlands. If you are unsure of this then get yourself up to the club on a Sunday morning to see the youngsters learning and embracing the game of rugby union.
As a prominent rugby club we want to encourage participation at all rugby levels, this requires maximum exposure. We are attempting to publicise rugby union in Coventry and promote the club and game where possible. all of our mini and junior coaches are CRB checked which involves special government checks.
Other New Features
Facebook is one of the highest used websites in the world (after google) and to maximise the exposure we now have a facebook 'like' option. This allows the player - fan - supporter - parent alacadoo to participate in the promotion of Broadstreet as a rugby union club. When you are reading an interesting article and you see the facebook like button, you can click this to share the website page with all of your friends and family which know you on facebook. This again is great PR for the club and we are always looking to encourage rugby players of all abilities.
Reviewing Broadstreet RFC
To maximise our exposure on the internet we need to be friends with Google as 95% of all website searches are completed in the uk using Google. the more local reviews that we have of our excellent rugby facilities, the higher up the search engine we fall. There are people constantly looking to use our clubhouse who may be swayed by feedback on these review sites. As a club we are also looking for feedback on the services that we provide for rugby union in Warwickshire so please go and check out these sites and give the club some constructive feedback.
