Website Editors Required

www.joomlaportal.hu

Can you create and compose an email ?

If the answer is YES, then Broadstreet Rugby Club needs you. Creating articles for the site is very similar to creating an email. When we send someone an email we give the email a title, with an article for the Broadstreet website we give the article a title, the article which you are currently reading is titled 'Website Editors Required'.

To make sure that the email that we are sending goes to the correct place we enter the recepients email address, to make sure that the article is sent to the correct place we enter a section and category.

The bulk of an email tends to be in the content, we may wish to include photographs or images within our email content, with an article its just the same, create the article content which may include photographs or images.

Once we have reviewed an email for correct grammer and spelling, (You do that don't you ?) we select to send the email, with a website article we reviewfor correct grammer and spelling and then save the article.

Improving the quality of the Broadstreet RFC website

We are attempting to improved the quality of information available on the Broadstreet web site, to improve this quality we need to improve the information which is available for current players, prospective players and their parents to be up to date and accurate. The internet offers the club as a whole marketing opportunities to sell the 'Rugby Club' for its rugby.  Getting information out of the committe members to individuals has proved difficult from both the senior and junior sections of the club. People have advertised events internally and not taken advantage of the website facility.  The website is the Shop window for anyone who wants to get information on Broadstreet from anywhere in the world. Any notices placed on the clubs notice board advertising events, need to be on here in the events section, news for the individual sections needs to be on here. In an ideal world each mini rugby and junior rugby teams administrator whould have registered for an account here on the broadstreet website. In an attempt to improve the rate of registrations, we have reduced the initial fields required for sign up.

All we want from you now is

  • Your Name
  • Your Email Address
  • A Username
  • A Password
  • A Nickname

Once that you have created your account you may be able to view parts of the site that you may not have been able to see before.

I want to be trained to use the Broadstreet RFC's website

We want the opportunity to show the club as a whole, if you dont feel that the Broadstreet website offers your side what you need then please let us know, we are looking to run a half days training course on using the club website, targeting our website editors, this is dependant upon the levels of interest shown. Please complete the form to register an interest in becoming your teams editor.

Many thanks for your time

Ian Thatcher
