Street Beavers are crowned as Champions of Warwickshire League 1.

Broadstreet RFC Third Team, the Beavers are the Champions of Warwickshire League 1. This puts the icing on the cake to a season that has witnessed intense rivalry in a sometimes passionate two-horse race with Old Laurentians RFC, who battled unflinchingly throughout the campaign but came up just three points short of the finishing line.

Following the adjudication by Warwickshire RFU that Barkers Butts RFC's no show last Saturday gives a 20-0 result to the Street, take nothing away from the Beavers, especially when it is taken into account that in previous seasons, Warwickshire League 1 has been contested by Street 2nd XV. It pays testimony to the Club's great strength in depth, as prominent, seasoned stalwarts have combined with a number of promising new kids on the block to generate superb camaraderie and great team spirit with battling performances to reach this pinnacle. All of Broadstreet's players, officials and supporters can duly feel very proud of this achievement.
