Street Players Not Happy With Local (Non-) Opposition.
Forty Street Players Kicking Their Heels This Afternoon.
Broadstreet Thirds and Fourths will be kicking their heels this afternoon as their scheduled opponents Kenilworth RFC Seconds and Barker’s Butts RFC Thirds, respectively, both telephoned to say they are unable to raise a side despite having confirmed the fixture in mid-week.
With no time available to arrange alternative opposition, forty keen Street players are left feeling very frustrated at these late withdrawals and can only put it down to a mass epidemic of Broadstreet Flu raging to the west and south of Coventry. Is there something odd about clubs playing in blue and yellow, we wonder, as no doubt both club’s bill-of-health can be expected to be perfect for next weekend!

We are as frustrated as you guys - we have managed to get a decent 2XV out nearly every week (barring first weekend vs Rugby Millionaires) unfortuately over 10 players from last weeks squad vs Hinckley are unavailable and as you can imagine during a tough rebuilding season strength in depth is not abundant. Sorry for the late call off on Thursday unfortunately our 3rd XV are mainly a vets team and we cannot pull 50yrs plus guys from there either - There's no "flu" and we look forward to playing you in the cup on the 20th November. Thanks for the sarky remarks - I'll make sure everyone is aware!
