Some Light At The End Of The Tunnel?

Anyone basing an article on a weather forecast is almost certainly going to end up with egg on his face, so this is written more in hope, than in belief. What we all desperately want is games of rugby, not conversations about it.

Today we have a much more promising weather forecast, with temperatures set to rise to a balmy 7ºC in Coventry on Saturday 11th December. Tuesday's training session may not | be full-blown, but there’s optimism for Thursday’s session and Saturday’s 2nds, 3rds & Colts fixtures. As Broadstreet RFC 1sts’ next scheduled National League 3 Midlands fixture is away at Sheffield Tigers RUFC, it’s important to view the predictions for Sheffield. | |
With the Tigers ground actually being at Dore Moor on the fringe of Derbyshire’s wilderness, we’ve also looked at Bakewell’s forecast to get a more rural fix. A degree or two lower, but a similar pattern. Dore Moor may have its own micro-climate, but hopefully it’s somewhere between Sheffield’s and Bakewell’s and yields a match this coming Saturday. As a footnote, the long-range forecast for Coventry shows the lead-in to the local derby game against South Leicester RFC on 18th December, to be cold but above freezing. Let's hope! |
